About a real draft

Avro Lancaster was a British four-engine heavy bomber used in World War II. He joined the service in 1942 and was one of the main RAF Bomber Command. The real machine had a seven-man crew. It was famous, among other things, for the specially modified 617th Squadron aircraft, which launched an attack on the German dam in Operation Chastise on the night of 16 to 17 May 1943. This story is known as Dambusters. It is a type history, not a confirmation of a specific variant displayed by the kit.
